Grade Promotion
Grade promotion examinations will be conducted based on the examination criteria stipulated by the World Oshukai. Passing or failing will be decided based on a comprehensive judgment of basic movements, kata, spirit, etiquette, etc. If you pass, the color of your belt will change, and as your rank goes up, the content of the promotion examination will become more difficult.
About Pre-5th and Pre-4th Kyu Grades
Pre-5th Kyu Grade and Pre-4th Kyu Grade are exclusive classes for the online dojo. Online instruction will only cover the Basic Training and Katas, as it is not possible to practice such as Kata Kumite Techniques, Bunkai, and Kumite, which require a partner.
Regarding Traditional Ranking
A screening seminar for online dojo members will be held at the Okinawa dojo, during which they will teach kumi waza techniques and certify their official grade based on the test results. In the future, we plan to create exams up to Pre-3rd Kyu Grade that can be taken through the Online Dojo. For 3rd Kyu Grade and above, a (Traditional Face-to-Face) Promotion Exam will be held at an Okinawa dojo.
